How to get in with the thieves guild

So I've completed the quest for Solomon and I have the introduction to the thieves guild from the hunter in Matras but I'm stuck now. Any help would be awesome

You join the thieves guild automatically later in the game. Don't worry about it.

Then I guess I'm stuck I snuck into the governors castle but I can't find his necklace so I was hoping the thieves guild might help me out somehow when do you join the thieves guild?

Well yes, you join them as a part of the main mission. You will know when, because it will be blatantly obvious. The necklace is in the castle, just keep searching. I won't spoil anything.

If you need a hint, the necklace is on the second floor, and there are two stairways to get to the second floor. Now I don't know what you're thinking, but there are only so many places to hide something in a linear passage with some doors.

Found it booya thanks for the help when I first got into the castle I only checked a couple of the doors so I never found the govoners room until now
