Sunken Monestary help needed

Am very new to this great game. I just got to the sunken monestary and am getting owned by the first abandoned one mob.

What level should I be to be in here?
What should I stock up on before I get here?

Stock up on magic resistance potions, it becomes so much easier to kill them when they can't one-shot you from across the halls. From what I remember, the ones which look more "red" hit very hard when you get into melee range though so be careful. You can stock up on AC potions for that, or spam Stone Skin if you have it.

I can't remember the exact level you should be when entering as it's been a long time since I've played the base game but I believe somewhere around 7-9. I could most definitely be wrong, though. The best way to go about it though is to maybe complete all quests in previous areas and kill everything about (that you can) for that sweet, sweet experience.
