Confusion on Curse, Dispel, and other spells.

What exactly does Curse do? I have been affected by the spell and used it multiple times, and still don't have any idea what it does whatsoever. Same with dispel, too. There are probably a few other spells that I, and others, would like to have explained, so if you could, I would certainly appreciate it! Thank you.

The manual can shed some light on the matter. ;) It's not super detailed on everything, but it's enough. The game's style is "try and find things out". It was not designed to be explicit with it's effects and calculations.

Curse lowers the attack strength of the affected party. Meaning less physical damage done by them. Dispel dispels the non constant effects.

Thanks for the clarification. I just get confused sometimes, as Plague & Warrt both show their effects in "Dynamic", and I'm used to checking their and seeing exactly what a debuff or buff is doing. You are right though, one of the best things about The Quest (and it's expansions) are the incredibly high amount of things you can actually do, and learn about. :D (Also, never knew there was a manual before.)
Edit: This is actually pretty cool,"If it’s raining or nighttime, both your and your opponents’ judgment of distance is hampered, so these are the best times to fight with monsters who use ranged weapons,
for example, archers, as they can’t really see you perfectly."
