Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?
50-70 is good for level 8 so you're doing well! If I were you I would spend skill points on persuade because its needed a lot in the expansions.
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?
I recommend getting better weapons or increasing your strength to deal some more damage. Once you cross the bridge east of vastares you'll see many strong enemies and it's really tough if your damage doesn't do more then 45+
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?
Ive actually never put any points in pursuade. I might though.
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?Persuade is a very useful skill in the main game too - sometimes you only can get or solve quests only if you are persuasive enough. (For example, right in the first town you can have more possibilities/outcomes of the Agent Recruiter's Boy quest, or in the second town you can solve one of the longest quests of the game only if you can force somebody to confess.)
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright? Now at lvl 8. Till now its ok but my Dmg is still max 28. Using only bow. Didnt find better one. Also using only Light armor. Ac now 19. Wrong? Put some Fresh points into strength but no change.
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?Starts to be difficult. Not possible to play only with light armor and bow?
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?
I recommend getting your heavy weapon stat and also heavy weapon. Magic is kinda useless because later in the game the enemies magic resistance is very high.
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?Sonicx: of course it's possible to play with only light armor and light weapon to the end. Just probably a little more difficult. For example, I also had just light weapon and light armor when I played the main game for betatesting, because I like the thief type of characters so I made a thief with great lockpicking skill, also had good persuade for solving quests more effectively, good alchemy to make cool potions, good accuracy for bows and good light weapon for weapons like katana. At the end I just had the Mystic Katana in my hand as my primary weapon, and had the Robber Leader's Bow in my backpack for ranged attacks. Nothing special. If you play wisely (progressing slowly on the land, solving many sidequests before getting to a new town/territory), you can get to the end easily.
As for magic, if you wanna play with a magician of course you have to boost those skills. I don't know Zarista Games' expansions but in the main game and in the official expansion pack magic is a very useful thing. But of course only if your character is based for ranged attacks. (I used mostly attack magic and bows during my gameplay and had to use my katana rarely.)
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright? In all fairness i enchanted my armor to have +70 ac and +40 heavy weapon
Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?I would suggest not to waste points on persuade, and use it for combat skills. for persuade, try enchanting armour for fortify persuade. This will give you better persuade when worn, and you do not have to use valuble skill points when you could use them on things like health

Re: Early ingame, am i doing alright?
Forgot about enchanting>_< I fail! Anyways yeah Jacob you're right, combat skills should go first, just not attack magic because it because virtually useless in other expansions
