Lvl reqd to complete the Gatekeeper Quest

Hi, I have completed all the quests and have now reached the Dark Castle and started on the Gatekeeper Quest at Lvl 15 with Hp of 68 (I lost 120 Hp while getting the elixir), my SP is 30, Xp =220785

Nxt Lvl XP = 240000

Just as I exit the Dark Castle I am confronted by the Orcs after my dialogue with the Maje Council Leader (Mysterious Man)....problem is the Orcs are hammering me, my shield broke and they are relentlessly bashing me

Am I having too low a lvl for this quest? Can I not take on the Elixir quest at present and complete that later, I have a feeling that will save my Hp and help with the battles.

How do I lvl up? I have completed all the quests in all the cities. pls advise.

If you have a marked position: recall, then kill all the weaker respawned monsters.

If not: enter the castle after talking to the Mage Council Leader, and heal yourself with a potion (full), then exit. Damage one of the orcs with your weapon or spell, then go indoors again if your hp is low. Heal again, then go out, when your hp is running out again, go in, heal...etc : )

Thanks for the idea Kgold, was doing precisely that, but it was a massacre.

So decided to go to the next level and then go back to finish the gatekeeper quest. Revisited some of the older quests, as the monsters had re-spawned I simply had to kill them again to get the reqd xp

Killed all the witches and one-eyes again in the area outside the wall and visited the witch queen's underground cave again. That was enuf to make it to Lvl 16

Just completed the Pit of Hell (part of the gatekeeper quest) its much easier at the nxt level including killing the Soldier Orcs. Looking forward to fighting with the dragons
