When fighting certain undead one often looses XP (by having skulls tossed at you), and the message says "it can somehow be restored). Sometimes you can loose a level.
How do I restore these XP (and levels)?
Thank you.

Re: Loosing XPThere are various stone/orb/creature? things around that can restore health/mana/bounty/experience. There's one in cursed chess set for experience (at least, the only one I know of).
Re: Loosing XPYou cannot recover the lost XP in The Quest base game. You recover it in HOL I. However the possibilities here are amazing. When you lose a level you do not lose your attribute or skill points. When you gain additional XP and attain a level a second time you can regain the 5 attibute points and 10 skill points a second time. The key is the second time you must the XP you had the first time you attained that level.
For instance, if the first time you reached level 9 (17,000 XP) you did it by killing an Orc (200 XP) and you went from 16,840 to 17,040 XP and then you lost XP and lost a level, you can reach level 9 a second time. If you were at 16,830 XP and again killed an Orc you would then have 17,030 XP. Since this does not exceed the XP you had the first time you reached level 9 you would not gain any new attribute or skill points. If however you were at 16,850 and jumped to 17,050 you would would exceed the XP you had the first time and you will gain an additional 5 attribute and 10 skill points. If you didn't kill the Ancient Ghoul who caused you to lose points and a level (by say recalling to Matras immediately after you lost a level) you can return to the Ghoul and fight him again and have him cause you to lose points and a level again. As long as you can find someone who you can defeat and gives you enough XP to jump from below 17,000 to somewhere above your previous high you will gain more attribute and skill points. And of course you can do this again at level 10, 11, 12 and so on. Doing this you can reach extrordinarily high attribute and skill levels. Hardrock
Re: Loosing XPI recently found a way to defeat one of these critters without losing xp. Use a spell for magic immunity and ranged weapons. Something powerful enough to defeat them quickly. If you practice you can figure out how many moves you get with immunity before having to cast the spell again. At that rate you can defeat it before it steals any xp.
