Which games/expansions to buy next?

Postby Gaucho » Wed Mar 05, 2014 12:31 pm

I'm new to The Quest games, i bought Quest Gold on iphone a few days ago, which i believe contains 2 further expansions ( although i see no evidence of these ingame yet). With so many expansions available i'm confused as to which games/expansions to buy next? I'm particularly interested to play them in chronological order (if there is an intended order), and i'd like to carry my character over to these other games/ expansions (if that's possible too). I've checked out the 'guides' section on here but i don't see a guide that talks me through my issue. If info is on here but i've missed it then accept my apology in advance. I'd appreciate help as i am really enjoying Quest so far. Thanks.

You bought the Quest Gold, which contains:
Islands of Ice and Fire and HOL I-II. You want to play them all, so I would recommend the order of:
-Main game
-Cursed Chess Set
-Celtic Hero
-Celtic Queen
-Islands of Ice and Fire
-Elemental Asteroids
-HOL and Mithril Horde in chronological order
-Escape and Attack From Asteroids
-Celtic Doom
-Skip over the free expansion. It's shitty, and free for a reason, in my opinion. It is extremely unbalancing. And to access most addons you have to get to Mithria in the main game,

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that i access the expansions included in gold via the harbour in the first town, but this isn't the case? And am i the only one finding this game tough as hell? ( not a bad thing imo)... I'm really enjoying it so far ( about 22 ingame days played)

I never had a problem with difficulty, so long as I explored a decent amount and kept my gear up to date. As for the expansions, some can be accessed from the first town, some in the last. The expansions all have descriptions on the Apple Store if that is how you're getting them. The description explains where you start from.
Tell me where you currently are, what level you are, and your build, and I will give you some tips if you need them.

I'm level 6, and i'm grinding on orcs mainly. My issue is i go to the harbour and there are no expansions available even though i bought 'gold'... I'm sure i'm misunderstanding this,... The experienced players reading this are probably chuckling at this post ;)

You have to be at the port on the Capitol city (mithria). Many of the expansions can only be accessed from there.

The harbor in Mithria is where you want to be. As for legacy you should be doing, check my "The Quest Blog" under guides. Read it from the start if you want. It provides some useful insights into the game and gives you a basic idea of what to do at which level. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. We are helpful (generally)!

Also, you should NEVER need to power level in this game. There are enough dungeons and quests to level you up more than enough to beat the game.
