I will be so ready for this game when it's completed! I'm patient-it's worth the wait! :)

The random map generator is a good idea for larger landscapes but I can't promise that it will be in the new editor. We'll see. I personally will not need it, that's for sure. : )
I can't say much about the variation of the expansions because I only made the official one and that one is OK I think. : ) But of course in TQ2 the variation of the environment will be much higher. For example, in TQ there were about 20 types of trees while in TQ2 I already made more than 100 trees. : ) And this goes to all environment stuff.
So I'll do everything I can for the main game and probably for the official expansion (if there will be one) but after that I can't say much - it all depends on the expansion's maker because we'll release the editor again for free to anybody who wants to make his/her own world.

Sorry for not much news nowadays, guys/girls. Elendil still have to finish the card game to get enough time for programming TQ2, while I have some private life issues (moving to another city, etc.). But a few weeks later I'll be back in TQ2's development in a fulltime job again.

The Islands of ice and fire was easily the best expansion. I never felt swamped with quests, and everything felt do-able. You could get a lot of great equipment, but you really had to work for it, it wasn't just handed to you. Islands of ice and fire was much more than an OK expansion Sylon.

Oh, without a doubt, Prickett is correct! I like Zarista expansions and some of the environments, but I always hated the idea of having a single hub with all the quests and items just lying on the ground for the taking.
That being said, if they HADN'T put the items at the start, then the expansions would not be playable standalone. My biggest beef with the Zarista addons was that they were so littered with quests that you could actually have trouble focusing on just one. :)

. The game sounds like its coming along just fine! I'm patient, take as long as is needed to release this game! I'll be ready to engage myself in this next awesome world of TQ2! I'm still playing TQ, ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER TO HIT THE APP STORE.

Thanks for the nice words! Prickett, I also think that the Ice and Fire expansion was not just OK. : ) But don't forget that I was talking here mostly about the design side of the expansion because Wolf said most of the expansions have not much variety of places/scenery. In Ice and Fire I tried to make something different than the main game's world: a volcanic and a snowy island, with many graphically new environment stuff. For this expansion's story side, I worked together with Cat, so that is our common production.

BTW, Wolf, TQ2 will have much larger render distance, I forgot to answer that.

Oh, good! And yes, Ice and Fire takes the prize for design, no doubt. :)
