There's already a thread for this, and it has some good builds, but let me show you one that I have always thought was OK (never ever tell your best! )

The best race, without question, is Etherim. They come with the most useful bonuses across the charts, so Etherim is my favorite.

My favor to name is Vlad (anyone who read my Quest Blog will understand)

Skills:
-Environmental Magic (a must have on any character)
-Heavy Armor
-Block/DW (personal preference)
-Light Weapon
-Accuracy (to add some ranged abilities)
-Protection Magic (the only extremely useful type of magic other than environmental. You can live without it, but it will save your ass)

You can enchant whatever you need to overcome any challenge and protection magic can easily be swapped with repair, persuade, or alchemy.
