Quest Gold: How do the expansions become available?

I bought Quest Gold for my Ipad (retina). On the main menu I see many options for loading, saving, etc., but I see no option for playing the expansions. Do they only become available after I finish the main 'Quest' game?

You don't need to finish the main quest for the expansions. However, they are ment for higher level characters, so they are accessible from Mithria harbor, which is a town later in the game.

The recommended minimum levels for the expansions are 14 (Isle of Ice & Fire), 22 (HOL I) and 32 (HOL II). Although you can go to them as soon as you reach Mithria harbor, the easiest (and "intended") way is simply playing the expansions one after another in order, and after you completed the main game.

You might want to upgrade to the Quest itself as we have, last time counting, at least 14 expansions out there:
