Total lockup of The Quest

Just updated the latest version of the apple operating system on my IPad and the latest update to the quest and I was in the mountain cave south of Vastares. I had just gotten the cached emerald where you cross the chasm using a rope, and the game froze. I exited and re-entered the game. Still frozen. Had to go to Quest Gold to send this. This is the first time I have tried a female character. I guess I will have to delete and reload the basic app. I have loaded every addition up to and including Celtic II. Thanks for your help any many hours of enjoyable gaming

Have you tried to restart you iPad(holding the home button and the on/off buton at the same time)?
