Which Weapon is more powerful? 3-10 or 4-8? What does the the first number mean & what does the last one mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The first number stands for lowest applied damage and the last number would be the highest damage your weapon can inflict. This gives you the idea of how much damage your weapon can inflict.

Is the amount of damage you do completely random? Like if a weapon has 3-10, is there an equal chance of hitting a 3 vs a 2,3,4...10?

Yes, it's completely random. (Between the borders, of course, so - reading your post with those numbers - a weapon with 3-10 damage can't do 2 damage...)

Woops, that was a mistake

In my opinion, the difference is marginal but 3-10 should be better, because of the "total" damage the weapon has chances to do. Just calculate, 3+10 = 13 , meanwhile 4+8 = 12. You lose one point of mínimum damage in exchange for 2 in máximum, which is an extra point you can't do if you equip 4-8.

For crying out loud, just calculate the average damage of the weapons. However as the person above said the difference is marginal.

Always go for the one with the higher minimum damage
