I don't think I'm very far in the story line, but I'm already stuck. It says I need to attract the attention of the thieves guild, but I can't figure out what I need to do. I've tried stealing things, but I'm just awful at it. Please help, and thank you.

You don't need to go out of the way to meet the guild. Have you met the Mysterious Man in Phryn yet? He will help you along with the main story.
