I just got to the end of the game or what seems to be.
I read that at a certain point I will be blocked from doing expansions or some quests if I fully complete the game.
If this is true where should I save it to make sure I can have access to the future expansion Ice and Fire?
I am right now saved before I enter the area with the gatekeeper.

There is no such point.

(If I remember correctly, there was a quest in Islands of Ice and Fire which had a bug related to your choices in the base game, but it was corrected.)

Out of curiosity is the expansion soon?
And is the old non HD version of the Quest only apple?

I'm still working on Cloud Saves for Android (it's much more problematic than I ever thought...).

But when that's finished, I'll add the expansion. I presume you are talking about the Android version, as the expansion is out on PC/iOS. I expect an early December release. Hopefully I'll not run into so much trouble as with Cloud Saves...

The old version of The Quest is available mainly for Zarista Games' expansions, which are only compatible with the old version (this might change in the future). But the old version is also available in the Steam version of the game, as a bonus.

The old version runs only on Windows. (And is only included in the Windows download.)

Are you saying that expansion(s) will be coming to Android, maybe some time soon?

Our own expansion, "Islands of Ice and Fire" is coming (very) soon.

All other expansions are by third parties (mainly by Zarista Games). After we have released our expansion for Android, we'll work on adding Steamworks support for the Steam version. With it anyone will be able to create expansions (or update existing ones). If/when a good enough is released on Steam, we can get in contact with the creators to bring it to iOS/Android.

I have crossover for android... I am going to try and get the PC version to run in it as Steam is included in the crossover app.

Crossover is an Android app in early Beta that is the same as the Linux Wine crossover. It may work. I do this just for kicks lol. Gotta buy the PC version now lol

The old windows version is here, in the Steam install: "...\Steam\steamapps\common\The Quest\old-game"
