Undead curse

In the base game, the only way is to kill monsters and get more experience.
Unfortunately I don't remember if there is a place in the expansion where you'll regain lost xp. I think there is, just not sure.
In some of Zarista's expansions there are places.
In any case, if you are in the base game and it's problematic, I think the best course would be to reload a save or grind out the lost xp, because getting somewhere to regain it would take too much time.
