level up system

i just want to clarify this, sometimes i level up with some increase of my skills, and sometimes i level up with nothing just points... can someone explain this to me? it says sometimes your environmental magic and appraise increase.. sometimes. just level up

I believe the two most used skills you used for that level get that bonus.

I’ve had up to four skills increased at one time, but I think it was because I jumped 2 levels at once. I try not to do that because for a multi-level jump you only get one permanent attribute potion like Increase Intelligence or Permanent Gush.
Good catch on what skill gets increased because that is what you used most.
