Super Attack, Heal, Mind, and Env Magic with heavy armor and block! I am so far INVINCIBLE

aha, unknown_Z i currently have a main of a noguar tank with heal and enviro magic, love them.
and jacob:P(nice name) i do like using magic but i find it sooo hard, do you think making a derth with magic, and light weapons (having a dagger and a staff/shortsword + staff) will be good? and what armour should i use? heavy or light?

Derth battle mage is the best I've heard but hey I started with an ethrim and customised it through the expansions and am now truly invincible.
I would say yeah go for light weapons as you can get staffs which have fortify magic. As for armor entirely up to you I would say heavy if you don't mind the extra weight.

Yeah, with my Derth I've got his 6 primaries as Heavy Armor, Heavy Weapon, Att. Magic, Heal Magic, Mind Magic, and Env. Magic.
It's safe to say that the types of armor/weapon for Derths don't particularly matter, due to the fact main AC cones from Prot, Magic and any and all damage originates from Att. Magic.

Be careful, though. Magic becomes almost useless in later expansions, as enemies develop very strong resistances.

Be an undead battle Mage. They are really good but first chance you get you should enchant something to resist magic. Rely mostly on magic until you get to mithria, then use stuff from lost archipelagos. You can skip the route to mithria by using town portal at the start of the woods at the village of phryn on the right hand side. Good luck!

I also have a Rasvim battle Mage, but I think of him more as a Druid. I use almost exclusively dark magic with him, when I can actually do any damage with it. Early in the game, you can take on almost anything in the game and win by repeatedly casting "drain health" and drinking a refill mana potion when you get low. But, magic users will DESTROY you. You have to get high magic resistance and paralyze them from a distance so you can get withing stabbing distance without being lit up.
