What are the gems used for? So far I haven't seen a use for them I'm in the Silver Forest right now.

As far as I can tell, having played The Quest several times over, they seem to just be valuable gems to be sold. I think there are quests that use them but only as a "get me this item" sort of thing.

Enchantable gems would be cool. Is that possible with the engine? Would you wear them in a jewelry slot or could they "do their thing" in your pack? Enchant one for strength and carry it around. Then equip it when you need it. Ooorrrr. I just had a cool idea. Enchant one with a trap. Drop it on the floor. Then maneuver around til the monster steps on it. Then give the monster to whoever sent you for it. Ha. I'd definitely buy that expansion. LOL

Yes, you can make an enchantable gem with the Editor. This monster-trapping thing is a good idea, probably you should post it into Jacob's 'New Expansion' thread. : )

Huh, well, I just tried it and sorry, you can't enchant a gem... But I don't know why. There is the box there where you can click to activate the enchant storage but you can't click on it, probably it's the Editor's limitation.
Anyway, the monster-trapping idea is good, use some other item for it - check the Editor to see exactly which items you can enchant.

mabe you could enchant some sort of object with paralysis and give it an AoE when dropped..

Gems are only good for selling. However in other expansions there are gems that you need to access certain areas like in Celtic rift for example
