What would everyone recommend to choose as a race and how to build them? I'm having a hard time finding a good character on this expansion...

probably a heavy nogur to start with, you cn always change your focus later. i say this as the first weapon around the games damage level is the sword frorm the mayor which is heavy and the first decent armour you get (after the teleport form th lighthouse) is all heavy alsp

Save after every quest, save before going into a dungeon, save, save save!!
