Ok so ive made it to the end of the beast quest but there is one problem, i need a rope to cross the pit so i can fight the beast. Anybody know where to get a rope?

You can get ropes at various places throughout the game. For example, if you go back to the main island, there is a craftsman standing in the village of Matras' center who sells ropes and other goodies.
