Ye I know it may sound weird but in order to complete the main quest I need the rope item which I couldn't find anywhere. I tried to look for it in ports but it wasn't there.

In Matras, there is a man who I believe sells unlimited quantities of rope. He is near the bridge that leads south from Matras to Vastares and the pagoda.

^But I play in expansion with a new character. I meant if I can find any on Eldfell or Thule.

Oh, I'm not sure of any rope locations in the expansions. Try scavenging the outskirts of Eldfell, and the town you find first in Thule.

well you can't, because it's not on the expansion as standalone. so i hope you didn't spend ages looking in every nook and cranny around the game

good news is, the developer is going to release an update and add it anytime soon. bad news is, we'll have to wait...

There was an update today on iOS and possible on Andoid as well that will have rope near the start of the game in a barrel.

Nvm, I found it in one barrel in thule port I believe (before the update). xD

Also you can always get one in the prison of Eldfell. But of course first you have to get inside somehow with good lockpick skills or spells. : )
