New here! need some help with getting owned

hi! I love this game but im hitting a stump. I'm trying to get to the monstary for a quest about st. vastar or something and i just get destroyed all the time! I'm an undead mage level 6. I keep obliterated! What do i do? Dwarves and shamans own me

You are too weak for this area of the game. You need to be at least level 10. Go back to an easier area of the game and kill all of the enemies, rest or wait for 7 days and then kill them all again. You could also complete other quests if you have any available. Try to get better armor (Heavy Armor is best) and many health/mana potions. If this is your first time playing then I strongly suggest you start over and choose another class. Undeads are more difficult to play with because they have much less food, water, and healing items available.

On a side note, please try not to double post. Next time wait a few minutes and then refresh your browser to see if your first post actually posted or not before submitting a new one.

Try to play through as something other than rasvim, as they have -50% magic resist. I am currently playing rasvim mage/archer/warrior but I have already beat the game multiple times. There are a few character choosing guides in the guides section of the forums if you decide to start over. But if not just concentrate on leveling up endurance and intelligence, then it should be a bit easier.
