Now we can playing The Quest on Android. You need three things to start over. 1. from Google Play Store "Exagear RPG" 2. The PC Version of The Quest. 3. A newer (fast) Android Phone. With an Explorer, copy the Folder of The Quest to the Exagear Folder on the SD Card. Then start Exagear RPG and klick on Show unsurported executabels. Find and Start The Quest.exe. Klick on the Titlebar of the started Window and choose "move". Move the Window to fit the Screen and klick from Tastatur Space to finishing moving and starting the Game. Have Fun!
P.S. Sorry for my bad English.

Can other people check this out and let me know if it works for them please? I've been able to open TQ on my Galaxy S4 using Exagear on the play store but I can't get the whole screen to show regardless of what resolution I choose. Also it runs extremely slow and the music is choppy. Has anyone had any better experiences with exagear or other newer dos based programs? Thanks in advance!
To all those reading this please try this out and leave comments! I want TQ on Android and I'm sure you do too!

Been using ExaGear about a month. I have PC and PalmOS versions of The Quest and was using StyleTap with the Palm version till I ran into a bug. ExaGear has generally been great. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and run the 800x600 resolution in the program. You have to drag the window to a good, centered position, but that's a minor inconvenience. One other thing I found: the controls used matter! I think I'm using the Argentum controls. You get a free, 3 day trial period and you should try all the control packages to see which works best. Recommend after the trial period is up, you purchase the control package that works best for $6.99. Well worth it!

Question to the dev's - why not port this game to android ? (judging from popularity of related games on android platform and the number of devices out there, substancial revenue is up ahead (even if the game will be free + ads)). If the game is already on iOS and Steam, the the engine is probably flexible enough to port it to another platform. (even forgeting the java stuff and doing all as native activity in c++, this should be not a big problem). Hope to hear some god news about android port from devs

Yes, we plan to port it to Android. Right now the Mac port is under development, then we'll make the iPad port, then the Android. But please don't ask when will it be done - somewhere in this year. : )

Greetings! I'm a long time fan. I used to play the Quest on my Palm, and I would post maps and actively participated in the forums--it has to be over a decade now. I played a bunch of expansions, too. I've been waiting for the Quest (or the card game, or TQ2) on Android for many years now. Nothing beats the graphics, puzzles, options and story.available I'm really excited that there is still conversation about porting the Quest and other redshift games to Android. I am patient, but I am nearly 60, so I'm hoping it will happen before I die. Sylon, that doesn't mean I'm asking when it will be done, just saying' I hope it's during my lifetime. I'm picking up a pixel c and i will see if l can get this to run on it (but I plan to beta Android n, so...)

Thanks for the nice words, dear long time fan! : ) We just finished the Mac port a few days ago, now we'll start the iPad one. This will take 1-2 months, but after that we really want to port the game to Android. So hang on, it will happen soon! : )

Thank you, Sylon. That's awesome news for Android owning fans of The Quest! I'm pretty healthy and have no work in battle zones, so will try not to have any awkward falls.

Will the port be of just the base Quest, or will you also port the expansions right away?

The Android port will be for the base game and for our own expansion, Islands of Ice and Fire. All other expansions are by third parties (mainly Zarista Games). It's much less certain what will happen with them. But we'll certainly notify you here (and on Facebook and Twitter) of anything major.
