There is no level cap.

If you don't grind (which is possible, but unnecessary), you'll reach around level 17 if you play through the game.

Yes that is correct. I just started playing Ice and Fire and I'm currently level 18. I should go back to the mainland and grind a bit more just in case i get destroyed by the monsters ;)

You shouldn't need to grind at all, so long as you keep your equipment well-enchanted. Some fights may take a couple of attempts, and that is okay. You'll learn how to deal with the hard-hitters soon enough (every expansion has a "power jump" at the start, and you will need to make sure your gear is well-enchanted to break past that initial hump in difficulty). The most important thing is to keep exploring and complete all the quests in each expansion to ensure a surplus of gold and experience, and to make sure that you aren't gimped when you decide to start the next expansion. :)

Hehe yeah I'm only joking my character is very well equipped, he's not had any issues destroy Fire Dragons and other Monsters so far in the Ice and Fire expansion. I do need to now start buying upgraded light armour and enchanting it, but dont want to buy the first thing i see as just my luck as soon as i get something i think is super cool i go to the next village and there will be something better there and i'd already spent 20k on just one thing
