archmage gloves/julius house

After using the cheat guide on this site regarding this quest ive looked into the mirror and tried to activate all the lamps connected to Julius's house in order to break the force field. All of the lamps i tried were not clickable. Ive also tried to wait until night fall to use a melee weapon to break into all of his windows. I am currently at a stand still with the gloves and the lady guarding him wont give me any options. Please help id like to complete this so i can progress. In the interim of response i will walk back to the redwood forest portal where i acquired the quest initially from "bomenor" i think is his name and look for options there.

Edit: ok so after returning to the portal the options opened up i dont remember reading that in the guide, so after failing to give the gloves to julius return to bomenor to notify him you were unable to he will reward you and give you 2 options to give julius the gloves which are clearly outlined in the "guides" forum.

This issue is solved no need to respond.

You have to return to the Arch-Mage. He gives options. Lamp is ousted to the right. On same building.
