So I'm at Vasteres and I finished the inheritance quest. I seem to be too weak to go any further and I can't find anything else to do. Help would be very much appreciated.

If there will be no better ideas, I suggest doing all the quests available to you (if you can't find them, you can check the Guides section). If you missed quests around Matras, don't hesitate to go back there too.
