Whats with the heavy mucky armour set scattered throughout mucky island?

I mean, what's the purpose of it being scattered on the island and of it's ok if I grab it and teleport back to the main world.

It's scattered so that a new or low level player can protect themselves. You can certainly take it back to the main world. Some people play the standalone game and they really need that protection.
