I want to do the treasure island quest however I cant seem to obtain it because his house always returns no answer.

Are you sure you are trying the right door? I've looked in the editor and you should always be able to talk to him.

Also I cant get the mithril mine quest because the dialogue option in mithria isnt present. Using palm version 1.03

Yes, it should be possible to transfer saves from Palm to the iPhone Classic (Gold) version. (Not to the new version, though.)
