Hey, so I am knew, big deal. I am really confused on how you are supposed to know where to go for a task. Help would be...helpful.

Read what the person who gives you the quest says carefully. Talk to them again they often give hints on where to go.
You have 20 save slots use them all. Save after every quest, save before going into a dungeon, save, save save!!

you can also ask people around about it if it gives you the option. that helps a bit and they can point you in the right direction..
