"Circle the Mound" Quest

Hey guys! I need help. On the quest, I'm supposed to make a certain pattern or something on the ground so that the faeries will give me access. All ive noticed is that when I step on the rainbow mushrooms I get random messages. Could one of you guys help me? Thanks!
