I am looking for the treasure chest in the barren forest and have found a hollow tree but it's nothing in there. Am I missing something? I've talked to the jeweler already.

Maybe it's the wrong hollow tree? I found the hollow tree right next to the river that goes through the barren forest, if it's that one then I truly have no idea

When you'll find the right three you'll find also three "strongh" dwarfes.
What do you think it's better? Giving the chest to the lady or to the lord?

No, I mean the thief in the thief shop: in the south-western corner of the map "Outlands of Vastares". Right beside the jeweler shop.
So you have four possibilities now (at least if you did everything properly during the conversations with the jeweler and all other characters). Just save a game before you give the chest to anyone and try out them all. Then you'll know what's the best solution. : )

I found it thanks, I loaded an earlier game by accident, I hadn't talked to anyone about the quest yet on that save slot. I found it no problem in that hollow tree when I switched to the right saved game lol.

The worst option seems the thief in the thief shop...
At least regarding the fake will... unless it could be useful at the end of the game I can not see any advantage to take it
