This isn't exactly a tech issue but... Is it suppose to be that at any lvl you can visit mithira, and take a ride to lost archipelago, and get the grandfather sword? (500 to 1000 damedge) I was only lvl 10 when I found out I could, but it helps! :)

Yeah they did consider at one point from what I have read level locking the expansions but there was a lot of opposition to that.
You have 20 save slots use them all. Save after every quest, save before going into a dungeon, save, save save!!
