Help Getting Started Off

Postby gSpartan150 » Wed Dec 19, 2012 2:07 am

Hello. I am a new Redshift forum member and I just recently got The Quest: Gold Edition. I also installed the Lost Archipalegos expansion for my Gold Edition (BTW I have an iPod Touch 4G with iOS 6.1, if anybody wants to know). Anyway, I can't seem to get a good start, every time I go and try to start on the quest; an Orc or Mugger kills me! Any tips on getting started out will help! :D

Hey man. The key to a few things in the quest is specialization of stats and skills and going back to hard battles/areas later.

1-Youve got to specialize in what weapon, armor and or spells or other skills you use to kill things. Thats a big one. The other is specializing in attributes based on your race. So if you are a nogur, strength dex and endurance make the most sense, but as long as you make decently logical decisions your alright. It all depends on what you are doing for your character.

2-The 2nd part is what makes the quest so great. If you cant defeat an enemy right now, go some where where you can take down an enemy. In the beginning, if you are melee or ranged combat, you will only be able to fight 1 or 2 enemies at a time. Just pace yourself and enjoy the story. Usually the amazons are fairly easy at a low lvl just dont wander too far. Muggers are not too tough, but if ganged up on-yes.

I completed the base game. If you have any other questions for what stats or what you would like to do with your character, you can list your build. I'll be more than glad to help with whatever advice I can give. My favored classes are etherim, seiry and nogur as they all can fight well.

It is better for you to gain good starting equipment! Explore barrels in village, sell stuff, which you don't need. Play card game in the inn. Also speak to streetwalker in port, she will give you safe and easy quest. If you are thief, than steal stuff. Your equipment- half to victory
