Dual Wield

Postby Steeeeeve » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:34 pm

What weapons can be dual wielded? Is it specifically light weapons on left hand? And is that damage determined by the light weapon skill or dual wield? Because I want to wield 2 heavy weapons in both hands or at least a heavy and light but not have to make heavy light and dual wield primary skills.

My experience in the game - You can dual wield with light or heavy in your primary hand, even ranged daggers and such, but the off-hand must be a "short" light weapon.

What is defined as a short light weapon? And do both light weapon and dual wield determine damage output?

Yes, when using dual wield the weapon gets a benefit from both light and dual wield, hence the considerable damage increase. Dual wieldable weapons for the second hand tend to be knives (with the knife graphic).
You have 20 save slots use them all. Save after every quest, save before going into a dungeon, save, save save!!

The best left-handed weapons in the main game are two short swords: Thurm's Thief Sword, and Rogue Short Sword.

To utilize your dual-wield capability, simply place a qualifying weapon into your off-hand. This action will have two side-effects on your character:

How do I place a weapon in the off hand? It only allows shields. Do I drag it?

No just have a weapon wielded in your right hand and nothing in your left hand and then select a short weapon and it should ask you left or right hand. Or vice versa.
