Pawnbroker in Mantras sells magic books?!

I've played past this point in the past, but for the life of me I'm drawing a blank on what I need to do to get the pawnbroker in mantras to sell magic books to that includes magic middle and stone skin at super low price.

First I meant magic missle ( dang auto correct) second I figured it out few mins later after posting, talk to magic shop owner for the dialogue to open
